Lifebushido

Lifebushido has been one interesting experience so far. I have been drawn to this company because my current position is, well, becoming more unattractive. Becoming a mom has made me more aware of my surroundings. I have always stuck with a position for as long as I could no matter the environment, but I am starting to want more from my surroundings. It is becoming quite difficult to endure the long hours and horrible environment created in my current position. I find myself deeply involved in my work for Lifebushido and I am not even hired or gaining compensation of any kind. The reason for this I believe is the way I have been treated in my current position. I never received the volume of work that others have at my position. Then when I became pregnant, my volume of work, the little I had, began to slowly fade away. I am terribly bored and ask daily for tasks to complete, but they do not comply. I feel strange sitting at a desk with nothing to do but answer a phone. Being able to work on tasks with my team and for Lifebushido has been wonderful because I have been able to use my mind, my education, and my skills to complete tasks. I only wish I had more to do! Communicating with my Triangle and getting a chance to be a leader, not manager has been so refreshing. Below is a Meme to sum up my experience:

War With Diva's Closet

Well, I would've posted much sooner, but I have been extremly busy moving into my new apartment....eh....I am so tired and I am not through yet! I still have some furniture to move in and some boxes and things to put in storage. However, the main event happened yesterday while I was having a war with the many clothes I should probably not own, mind you I have bags of them that are landing upon the great concrete floor of the Outreach center in my church. However, I still have a closet full. I may be having another donate day soon after the events that took place yesterday morning. I brought in several things and began placing them and organizing them in my closet. Low and behold my organizers wouldn't hang properly, so I decided to buy a small curtain rod to hang them from. Since I've lived on my own for quite sometime, I am very used to doing things on my own such as hanging small curtain rods in closets. I measured and placed the brackets. Then proud as could be I hung the rod up and placed my organizers on the rod. :D Then I began to place my intimates and socks into the baskets. Then came my pajama shorts which apparently weigh more than they should because as I put them in, the entire thing came tumbling down upon face and landing at my feet. Defeat, but I did not give up. I charged to the store and bought a bigger, thicker curtain rod....ha I will win! Again I began to place everything in the organizers. This time I left the shorts out. Success! The curtain rod's metal notch then is split in half by the bracket. Curses. Ha! I went right back to the store and bought an organizer on wheels. I win, I win!

The Mystic White Van Taxi....

So I have been doing my usual rounds today and I have seen the mystic white van taxi everywhere! I am so amused by this. If I hadn't ran out of gas last night, I would never know who he was. Since we live in such small city, there aren't many taxis so I guess this man is keeping himself quite busy, making a living no doubt helping ppl who have ran out of gas....this guy is a regular Superman! I tell you, there should be more mystic white van taxi drivers out there! HA! Then just imagine where the world would be! Half of us would be stranded and the other half saving our skins. I think I am going to try to get pictures when I sight him again. This way I don't sound so crazy. I'm telling you he is out there, he is really out there!

Dinner with the fields....

As most of you know I have been looking for a new apartment. For the last three days I have been driving past this beautiful townhouse to see, unbeknownst to the tenants, if they have finished moving yet so I could peek into the windows to get the slightest glimpse of the inside, mind you I have an appointment to look at it on Tuesday March 2nd, 2010. I am so impaitient that I have packed all the silverware, pans, and dishes I own and the rest of the house is scattered in various piles of papers and shoes. Of course I decided last night that since I didn't have any dishes, I must go out to eat! I drove out to Wendy's :s something I should not have done, then to the post office, then :D past the townhouse! Drat.... :[ they are still there....so off I go home. Then as I am pulling onto the road between the new apartment and the old apartment, I heat a familiar sickening put-put sound. Low and behold, I was out of gas! Luckily I was on the phone with my bestestests friend in the world, Dani. After much grumbling I said she could come and bring me some gas. I managed to coast up the hill to where my current residence was in full view accross the field. I decided that it would be safer, as the sun was setting, to get as close to the Armory as I could so got out of my car and began to push, yes folks the tiny Nicole's Jujitsu muscles were of great use last night! I reached the brink of the tinyer hill atop the big hill, I was almost over it, head down calves burning, when this mystic white van taxi pulls up. I barricaded myself into the car put on the breaks and cracked my window a centimeter as the driver approached. "Do you want to be pushed in the grass so no one runs you over?" I was furious. I had pushed the car all this way and some guy wants to push it in the grass. Great. Reluctantly I said, "Sure, thanks." He pushed me backwards for what seemed like 100ft. I said, "Thank you" and off he drove. I was now forced to sit in my car and wait for my friends to bring me gas. My intentions had been to park in the Armory, take myself and my dinner home, and wait for Dani to show. I let out a long exhasperated sigh, like Napoleon Dynamite, and turned to see my dinner laying in the passenger seat. "Bah!" I looked out into the field and took out my dinner. I ate it while waiting for the gas to arrive. I ducked as each car passed partly for safety, partly for embarrassment. I just didn't want anyone to stop. Finally, I saw Dani and her bf Taylor. I was so thankful for my friends! I finally made it home, but I will never forget the night I had dinner with the fields. ;)
